The short answer
Gym Junksters hauls junk in Plantation, including the acreage jobs out west: sheds, fencing, barn contents and storm debris, usually next day. The city allows fifteen cubic yards of bulk, the most around, but no construction material at all, which is most of what an Acres clear-out produces. Free quote: (954) 774-0277.

Why we are in Plantation most weeks
Plantation is about half an hour from the yard on the Sawgrass or straight down University, so next-day is the usual answer. The city has the most generous bulk allowance around at 15 cubic yards, so the calls here are almost never about volume. They are about the material: old fencing, barn material, pavers and pool decking, none of which the city takes.
The houses here, and what they do to a job
Plantation Acres is horse country by South Florida standards: acre-plus equestrian lots with barns, workshops and outbuildings, and it produces the single biggest loads we see anywhere. Long private driveways, gates, low branches and ground that stays soft after a storm decide where a loaded truck can park. Plantation Midtown is commercial, so those tenants get no residential bulk service at all.
What Plantation bulk pickup will and will not take
The rules, as Plantation publishes them
The City of Plantation Public Works Department collects bulk with a limit of 15 cubic yards per pickup, which the city describes as about the size of a VW Bug and which is the most generous allowance in the service area. It takes household goods such as appliances, furniture, mattresses and large toys. The prep rules are where people lose an afternoon: carpeting has to be flattened and tied with heavy cord into bundles not exceeding 50 pounds, and tree trimmings cut into 6-foot lengths under 50 pounds. Items go curbside no earlier than the Saturday before your scheduled pickup date and no later than 7 a.m. on the day of pickup, and regular solid waste bags may not exceed 40 pounds each. Construction debris and loose construction materials are not accepted as bulk.

Where the free pickup runs out
The cap is not the problem in Plantation, the material is. Construction debris and loose construction material are excluded outright, which covers the fencing, shed panels, pavers and pool decking an Acres clear-out produces.

Plantation junk removal questions
Plantation allows 15 cubic yards. Why would I pay anybody?
Often you should not, and we will say so. If it is household material, already at the curb and prepped the way the city asks, use the free pickup. Call us when it is construction material the city refuses, when it is still sitting in a barn, or when nobody wants to spend the afternoon tying carpet into 50-pound bundles.
Do you clear barns, workshops and outbuildings?
Yes, contents and structure material both. A typical Acres job is old fencing, pavers, pool decking, feed and yard equipment and decades of tools. See garage and outbuilding cleanouts, and construction debris removal for the fencing and decking the city will not touch.
