A commercial cleanout is rarely hard because of the volume. It is the building. The freight elevator has to be reserved, the property manager wants a certificate of insurance before anyone crosses the lobby, the dock has a two-hour window, and the landlord’s deadline is Friday. It is quoted per load, and desks, cubicle panels and filing cabinets are bulky and low-density, so a commercial space fills a truck faster than the square footage suggests.

Can you work after hours so we do not disrupt the business?
Yes, and in a lot of buildings it is the only way the job can happen. Retail plazas do not want a hand truck going past customers. Office towers restrict moves to evenings, or prohibit them on weekends, or the reverse. Restaurants can only be cleared between close and prep.
Do you carry a certificate of insurance?
Yes. Gym Junksters is licensed and insured in the State of Florida, and the certificate goes to your property manager, your building’s management company or your HOA before the job. In this market that is a gate, not a nicety. High-rise associations along the Galt Ocean Mile, Las Olas, the Pompano Beach barrier island and downtown Boca Raton will not let a vendor onto the property without one naming the association, and the country-club communities in Parkland and Boca keep a vendor file at the guard gate that has to be current.
What can you actually take out of a commercial space?
Effectively everything that is not attached to the structure in a way that requires a permitted contractor. We haul the hardware, but we are not a certified data-wipe service, so wipe the drives before we load them.
- Office. Desks, conference tables, cubicle panels, task chairs, filing cabinets, bookcases, breakroom appliances, monitors, printers, servers and the cabling in the ceiling.
- Retail. Gondola shelving, slatwall, display cases, mannequins, racks, checkout counters, signage, fitting-room fixtures and the stockroom nobody has emptied since the last remodel.
- Restaurant and bar. Prep tables, reach-ins and walk-in panels, hoods, fryers, ranges, dish machines, booths, bar stools, POS terminals and shelving. Refrigerant-bearing equipment is handled under the same federal recovery rules as a household fridge. See appliance removal.
