The short answer
Gym Junksters handles gym equipment removal across Broward and southern Palm Beach County. Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, racks, benches, plates and full home gyms, taken apart and carried down the stairs by people who lift. Same day and next day are both normal. Free quotes: (954) 774-0277.

The company is called Gym Junksters because Johnny was a college athlete whose knee injuries ended his sports career, and who put the same appetite for hard physical work into the gym and then into hauling. A 45-pound plate is not an abstraction here. Neither is the fact that a treadmill weighs more than the person who bought it.
We take treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, spin bikes, Pelotons, Tonals, Mirrors, benches, racks, cages, cable machines, plate trees, dumbbell sets, kettlebells, heavy bags and the mats underneath all of it. Out of second-floor bedrooms, out of garages with four inches of clearance, out of condo units where the association has opinions about the elevator.
What goes in the truck
- Treadmills, ellipticals, rowers and stair climbers
- Spin bikes, recumbent bikes and Pelotons
- Tonal, Mirror and wall-mounted trainers
Why is a treadmill so hard to get rid of?
Because it is two hundred to three hundred and fifty pounds, it is a two-person carry, and the weight is all in the motor housing at one end, so it behaves badly on stairs. Folding home models are the easy version. A commercial-grade deck on a steel frame is the other end of it.
Will a truck even hold my weight set?
It holds it. The question is whether the plates fill the truck or max its weight limit first, and with a real weight set it is always the weight. A five-hundred-pound plate collection takes up about the same room as two suitcases. That is the whole reason weights are priced the way they are.
It is upstairs. Is that a problem?
It is the normal case, not the exception, and it is the single biggest thing that moves this price. Home gyms end up in spare bedrooms, and spare bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs get counted at the walk-through and the whole number is in your written quote before anything is unbolted.
- Two-story family homes. The newer stock in Parkland, Turtle Run in Coral Springs and the Jacaranda area of Plantation is almost all two-story with a single staircase and a turn in it.
- Condo walk-ups with no service elevator. The older buildings in Wynmoor, Century Village East in Deerfield Beach and Kings Point in Tamarac have exterior stairs and nothing else. Everything comes down by hand.
- High-rises with a freight elevator. Along the Galt Ocean Mile and the Pompano Beach barrier island, the elevator has to be reserved and the building wants a certificate of insurance. That is a booking detail, not an obstacle.
How the job runs, start to finish
Four steps. Three of them are ours.

Send a photo of the treadmill or the rack
Or call and describe it. What sets the price is how much room the load takes up in the truck, and a picture shows that. (954) 774-0277, call or text.
-
We look at it and quote it on site
In writing, before anything moves. That number covers the carry, the drive, every dump fee and sweeping the spot afterwards. Nothing gets added on the way out.
-
We do the carrying
Down the stairs, through the side gate, out from behind the screen cage. Nothing has to be at the curb first and nothing has to come apart first. You point at it.
-
You pay once it is in the truck
Cash, card or digital. Not a deposit, not up front, and the quote you approved is the quote you pay.

Exercise Equipment Removal: the questions we get
How do I get rid of an old treadmill?
Call somebody with a truck and two people who can lift, because it is two hundred to three hundred and fifty pounds and it does not go through a doorway assembled. Taking it apart is part of what you are quoted. Most cities will take one at the curb under bulk trash if you are inside your weekly cubic-yard cap, but getting it to the curb is the part people underestimate.
Will you take the equipment apart?
Yes, that is most of the job. Racks come apart, treadmill consoles fold or unbolt, cable machines get stripped, wall-mounted trainers come off their anchors. The teardown time is counted at the walk-through and quoted before anyone picks up a wrench.
Can you remove a home gym from a second floor?
Yes, and it is the usual situation. Everything comes down the stairs in pieces, plates in loads that are safe to carry rather than heroic. The stairs are counted in the written quote up front.
