A garage cleanout is a half-day job that people put off for four years. Most single-car garages fill about half a truck. A packed two-car garage that has never been touched fills a good deal more, and that is what the price turns on. Nobody can quote it accurately over the phone, which is why the quote is free, in writing, and happens with both of us standing in the doorway looking at the same pile.

The before and after we photographed is the honest version of this job: no room to walk, cleared in one visit. The homeowner kept what they wanted and we took the rest. You do not have to pre-sort, you do not have to drag anything to the curb, and you do not have to be embarrassed about it. A South Florida garage collects heat, humidity, hurricane supplies and everything with no other home, and it does it to everybody.

What goes in the truck

  • Furniture, shelving, cabinets and workbenches
  • Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers and water heaters
  • Treadmills, ellipticals, weight sets and benches

What does a garage cleanout cost?

Junk removal is priced by volume, meaning the fraction of the truck your stuff fills, not by the hour and not per item. That matters in a garage, because the shelf of empty plastic bins that looks like a mountain is cheap and the compact stack of leftover floor tile in the corner is not.

  • Volume, not hours. A crew that works fast does not cost you more. The truck fraction is the price.
  • Access counts. A garage with the door up and a driveway to back into is the cheapest possible carry. A detached garage at the end of a Plantation Acres driveway is not.
  • Weight counts on the dense stuff. Leftover tile, pavers, concrete blocks and bags of hardened thinset hit the truck weight limit long before they fill it, so they are priced separately.

How the sort actually works

We walk the garage with you first. Keep goes back on the shelf or out onto the driveway where you can see it. Donate gets set aside and kept out of the load. Haul goes in the truck. You make every call and we carry.

Why bulk trash day will not empty a garage

Every city here runs a free bulk program and every one of them is capped in cubic yards. Margate allows three a week, which is about three washing machines side by side. Pompano Beach allows four. Boca Raton allows two, and anything past that is a paid pickup billed by the cubic yard. Coral Springs allows six, but only two of those may be construction debris, and an over-limit pile gets tagged and left. Fort Lauderdale and Oakland Park collect bulk once a month.

Garage, cleared to the slab: the same spot, one visit apart

Drag the seam across. Photographed on the job, not staged.

The same garage doorway with the pile gone, bare concrete floor visible to the back wall and only a folding chair and a few boxes left standing
A garage doorway blocked by a collapsed pile of flattened boxes, packing material, bags and offcuts of timber spilling onto the driveway pavers
The pile had reached the door and was spilling onto the driveway. Everything in front of the slab went; what you can see at the back is what stayed.

How the job runs, start to finish

Four steps. Three of them are ours.

  1. Send a photo of the garage with the door open

Or call and describe it. What sets the price is how much room the load takes up in the truck, and a picture shows that. (954) 774-0277, call or text.

  2. We look at it and quote it on site

In writing, before anything moves. That number covers the carry, the drive, every dump fee and sweeping the spot afterwards. Nothing gets added on the way out.

  3. We do the carrying

Down the stairs, through the side gate, out from behind the screen cage. Nothing has to be at the curb first and nothing has to come apart first. You point at it.

  4. You pay once it is in the truck

Cash, card or digital. Not a deposit, not up front, and the quote you approved is the quote you pay.

Garage Cleanouts: the questions we get

How much does a garage cleanout cost?

It is priced by how much of the truck your stuff fills, so it comes down to volume, weight and how far it has to be carried. Most single-car garages land around half a truck. A packed, never-touched two-car garage runs higher. Dense material like leftover tile and pavers is counted on weight instead. We quote free on site, in writing, and you pay after.

How long does a garage cleanout take?

Most are done in a single visit, from the walk-through to the sweep-up. A single-car garage with a clear driveway is quick. A two-car garage packed to the door, with shelving to break down, is a half day. Same-day and next-day slots are usually available. Call or text (954) 774-0277 and we will tell you what is open.

Do I have to sort everything before you arrive?

No. Sorting first is the reason garages stay full for years. We walk it with you, you point at what stays and what goes, and anything you are unsure about goes into a keep pile on the driveway so you can decide while we load the rest.

Point at it. We will take it from there.
