The short answer

Gym Junksters handles furniture removal across Broward and southern Palm Beach County. Couches, sectionals, mattresses, box springs, dressers, patio sets and pianos. We carry it out, take it apart if the stairwell demands it, and you pay once it is loaded. Same day and next day are both normal. Free quotes: (954) 774-0277.

A couch is the most common thing anyone calls a hauler about, and the reason is always the same. It went in through a door that no longer seems to exist, and the new one is being delivered Thursday. A standard sofa is one carry. A three-piece sectional is three, which is why it is not priced as one thing.

Gym Junksters takes furniture out of second-floor bedrooms, third-floor walk-ups, screened patios, storage units and 55+ villas with a parking court a box truck cannot turn in. We bring the straps and the tools. If a bed frame or a sleeper sofa has to come apart to clear a doorway, it comes apart, and that is included rather than an upcharge conversation on your porch.

The quote is free, given on site before anything moves, and you pay when it is loaded. Text a photo of the piece and the doorway it has to come through to (954) 774-0277.

Why does a mattress cost more to get rid of than a dresser?

Because it is charged twice. Most transfer stations in South Florida add a mattress recycling fee on top of the tipping fee, and that gets passed straight through and named in the quote rather than buried in it.

Can you get a sectional down a stairwell?

Usually, and when we cannot, we take it apart. A three-piece sectional is priced as what it actually is: three separate carries and a truck that fills faster than the customer expected. Stairs are counted the same honest way, and you see that in the number before anyone lifts anything.

Do you take pianos and pool tables?

Yes. An upright piano is three hundred to six hundred pounds and moves on a dolly with a person on every corner. A baby grand goes on its side with the legs off, wrapped and strapped, which takes longer and is quoted for it. A pool table is almost entirely a disassembly job, because the slate bed alone is seven hundred to a thousand pounds in three pieces.

How the job runs, start to finish

Four steps. Three of them are ours.

  1. Send a photo of the sofa, the mattress, whatever is going

Or call and describe it. What sets the price is how much room the load takes up in the truck, and a picture shows that. (954) 774-0277, call or text.

  2. We look at it and quote it on site

In writing, before anything moves. That number covers the carry, the drive, every dump fee and sweeping the spot afterwards. Nothing gets added on the way out.

  3. We do the carrying

Down the stairs, through the side gate, out from behind the screen cage. Nothing has to be at the curb first and nothing has to come apart first. You point at it.

  4. You pay once it is in the truck

Cash, card or digital. Not a deposit, not up front, and the quote you approved is the quote you pay.

Furniture & Mattress Removal: the questions we get

How much does it cost to remove a couch?

It is priced by how much of the truck it fills, so a standard sofa and a three-piece sectional are different numbers. Stairs, a long carry or a doorway that needs the piece taken apart move it as well. Your price is quoted free on site, in writing, before anything is lifted.

Do you take mattresses and box springs?

Yes, both. The transfer station charges a mattress recycling fee on top of the tipping fee, and that gets passed through and named in the quote rather than hidden in it. There is no limit on how many. A four-bedroom house worth of beds is a normal job.

Will you take furniture apart to get it out?

Yes. Bed frames, sleeper sofas, sectional connectors, table legs, headboards and closet systems come apart as part of the job. We would rather spend ten minutes with a wrench than take a chunk out of your stairwell drywall.

Point at it. We will take it from there.
