Bulk trash pickup is free in every city in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The catch is that every city has its own limit, its own schedule and its own list of stuff it won't take. Go over the limit and your pile gets a sticker instead of a pickup. Sometimes you get a code enforcement notice too.
How to measure a cubic yard from your driveway
A cubic yard is a box 3 feet long, 3 feet wide and 3 feet tall. A washing machine or dryer is about one cubic yard. A 2-seater sofa is closer to two. If your pile is the size of a car, it's way over most city limits.
Bulk trash pickup limits by city
- Coral Springs. About 6 cubic yards per pickup, and about 2 cubic yards can be construction debris. Bulk and yard waste have to go in separate piles.
- Pompano Beach. About 4 cubic yards a week.
- Boca Raton. About 2 cubic yards.
Limits change, so check your city's solid waste page before you build the pile.
What usually gets left at the curb
- Construction and renovation debris over the small allowance
- Electronics and TVs
- Tires over the limit, and car parts
- Mixed piles of yard waste and household junk
- Anything blocking the sidewalk or sitting on a swale with a meter or drain
When it makes sense to call us
Maybe your pile is bigger than the limit, you can't wait for the next bulk day, or your HOA doesn't allow curb piles at all. Then we'll take it straight from your home, garage or yard, any day. No dragging it to the curb first, so consider it your leg day off. Here's how our junk removal works. If the whole pile is coming out of the garage anyway, that's a garage cleanout.
